What is Kaleidoscope?

Kaleidoscope is the online scholarship platform used by the Lindbergh Schools Foundation. It allows students to complete one application and be considered for multiple scholarships.

Can I save my application and finish it later?

Yes. Kaleidoscope allows you to save your progress and return to your application at any time before the deadline. Be sure to submit your completed application before the deadline, as incomplete applications cannot be considered.

Are letters of recommendation required?

Some scholarships require letters of recommendation, while others do not. If required, be sure to request your recommendation early and allow plenty of time for it to be completed before the application deadline.

I'm having trouble logging into Kaleidoscope or using the application. Who should I contact?

If you experience technical issues with your Kaleidoscope account, such as login problems, password resets, or system errors, please contact Kaleidoscope Support directly. The Lindbergh Schools Foundation cannot troubleshoot technical issues within the platform.

I have a question about the scholarship application. Who should I contact?

If you have questions about eligibility, application requirements, deadlines, or the scholarship process, please contact the Lindbergh Schools Foundation. We are happy to assist with application questions but cannot review essays or predict scholarship outcomes.

What happens after I submit my application?

After the application deadline, eligible applications are reviewed by scholarship selection committees. Scholarship recipients are notified according to the scholarship timeline.

What is Scholarship Day?

Scholarship recipients are recognized during the Lindbergh Schools Foundation Scholarship Day celebration each spring. The event honors both the students receiving scholarships and the generous donors who make these opportunities possible.

Who selects the scholarship recipients?

The Lindbergh Schools Foundation administers the scholarship program but is not involved in selecting recipients. Scholarships are awarded solely by donor-appointed selection committees or, in limited cases, by a volunteer committee of the Foundation Board.

Do all scholarships use the same selection process?

No. Each scholarship donor or selection committee determines its own evaluation process. Depending on the scholarship, recipients may be selected using scoring rubrics, interviews, committee discussion, or other evaluation methods.

Why wasn't my student selected to receive a scholarship?

Scholarship awards are highly competitive. Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements and selection criteria, and the number of qualified applicants often exceeds the funds available.

Can I find out why my student wasn't selected?

No. To ensure a fair and impartial process, applications are reviewed anonymously whenever possible. Selection committee decisions are confidential, and the Foundation does not receive or provide feedback regarding individual applicants.

Can I appeal a scholarship decision?

No. All scholarship selection committee decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

How can my student improve their chances of receiving a scholarship?

We encourage students to:

• Apply for every scholarship for which they are eligible.
• Carefully review all application requirements.
• Write thoughtful, well-developed essays.
• Submit strong letters of recommendation when required.
• Attend scholarship application help sessions if available.
