Student & Parent Scholarship Information

In 2025, we distributed 118 scholarship totaling $238,750, including the prestigious General Scholarship for exceptional resilience. Many scholarships honor remarkable teachers, administrators, and alumni. To date, we have awarded over $1,270,195 in scholarship funding, empowering students to achieve their academic and career goals.

Scholarship Timeline

Early September: Scholarship list is sent to seniors; applications open.

Early January: Applications due.

First Week of February: Foundation sends anonymous applications to donor committees for review.

March 1: Scholarship winners are selected and reported to the Foundation.

Early March: Students are notified by email and automated phone call.

Early April: Recipients are honored and presented with their scholarships at the Foundation Scholarship Night.

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for any Lindbergh Schools Foundation scholarship, applicants must:

Be a current LHS Senior.
Planning to attend a college (2-year or 4-year), trade school, or advanced training in the Fall.
Complete and submit scholarship applications through Kaleidoscope.
- You will need to enter an access code to access the application.
  - Find your access code on the Foundation Scholarship Canvas Course, ParentSquare Foundation Scholarship Group, PAC teacher, or email foundation@lindberghschools.ws.

Scholarship Selection Process

While we administer these scholarships, Foundation employees do not select the winners. Below is an explanation of the Foundation’s role and the scholarship selection process.

Our role is to ensure a smooth, fair, and transparent scholarship process. We:

Work with private donors to establish scholarship criteria.
Collect and manage scholarship funds.
Advertise available scholarships to Lindbergh High School students and families.
Host a Scholarship Night Speaker Series and offer help sessions at LHS to answer questions about the process.
Anonymize all applications (except those requiring letters of recommendation) before selection.
Organize and plan the Foundation Scholarship Night in April.
Distribute scholarship checks to recipients.

How Are Scholarship Winners Selected?

Private Donor Selection Committees (Majority of Scholarships)
- Each donor or donor committee is solely responsible for selecting their scholarship recipient(s).
- Committee determines its own selection process. Some committees use rubrics, some conduct interviews, and some use a consensus-based approach.
Lindbergh Schools Foundation Board Selection (7 Scholarships)
- A committee made up of volunteer Foundation Board members selects winners for seven scholarships
- The committee’s selection process is based on a scoring rubric and committee discussion.
Confidentiality and Anonymity
- Student names are removed from all scholarship applications, and each student is assigned a unique ID number.
- The Foundation Office protects access to the student ID key to maintain fairness and confidentiality.
