Lindbergh Schools Foundation Board Retreat: A Day of Connection and Celebration

August 9, 2024

On August 9, 2024, Foundation board members came together for a full-day retreat packed with interactive activities and enlightening conversations. The day kicked off with a delicious breakfast, setting a positive tone for the event. They then dived into a team-building scavenger hunt that brought out everyone’s competitive and collaborative spirit.

The morning continued with engaging strategic planning sessions where we set clear and ambitious goals for the upcoming academic year. These discussions were not only productive but also inspiring, as everyone shared their vision for the future of the Foundation.

A delightful BBQ lunch provided a perfect break, filled with laughter and camaraderie. During this time, they participated in Board Member Bingo, an activity designed to foster better connections among members. It was a fun and effective way to learn more about each other’s backgrounds and interests.

Superintendent Dr. Tony Lake later joined, providing key district updates. His insights were invaluable and added an important dimension to our strategic discussions.

One of the highlights of the day was hearing from past recipients of our scholarships. These individuals shared their current accomplishments, reminding everyone of the profound impact our support has on students’ lives. Their stories were truly inspiring and reinforced the importance of the Foundation's work.

They also shared inspiring stories from the past school year, reflecting on their achievements and the lives touched. The retreat concluded with a special celebration for the birthday of our Foundation Board President, Greg Schattgen. It was a joyous occasion that added a personal touch to the day’s activities.

As they embark on another year, the Foundation is filled with excitement and anticipation. There are many exciting projects in store and they look forward to sharing them with the community. Stay tuned for more updates as they continue to support and enhance the educational experiences of Lindbergh Schools’ students.
