Celebrating Nicole Gordon and Hands-On Learning at the Idea Center!
October 7, 2024
Today, we’re excited to celebrate Nicole Gordon, LEAP Elementary Teacher at the Idea Center, who recently received start-up materials to enrich her students’ hands-on learning experiences! With new resources like pH chemicals, seeds, water pumps, and planting mediums, her students now have the tools to research, grow, harvest, and even taste the fruits of their projects. Gifted students thrive when exploring and innovating, and this hands-on approach connects them to exciting fields like agricultural science.
On Wednesday, October 9, Foundation staff and board members, along with Goodcents Regional Manager Maggie Rothe and District Manager Marissa Yount, delivered these items to Nicole’s classroom. Nicole’s students were quick to share creative ideas on how they’ll use the new materials and even brainstormed ways to collaborate with Goodcents on future projects.
This grant was made possible by our 2024-25 Pilot Sponsor, Goodcents. Thank you, Goodcents, for supporting our young innovators!
Congratulations, Nicole!
