Culver’s Community Scholarship
Each year Culvers of St. Louis rewards a Lindbergh student who is committed to continuing their education after high school. This student must demonstrate an interest and involvement in community service, all while attending school and being employed a minimum of 10 hours each week during that time.
Bob Foerstel Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Bob Foerstel who was a Lindbergh graduate, a board of education member and lifelong resident of the community. Bob was one of seven children and played sports his entire life. He was a college graduate, teacher, coach and had a career as an electrician. This scholarship seeks to benefit an individual who has a passion for learning and life filled with laughter.
Michelle Bauer Nickel Memorial Scholarship
The Michelle Bauer Nickel Memorial Scholarship celebrates the memory of a preschool teacher who was a beloved member of the district. She had a special way of helping all students but she especially loved those who required additional help in learning. This scholarship is awarded in her memory to a student interested in pursuing a major in Education or a degree in the medical field.
Sperreng PTO Scholarship
The Sperreng Middle School PTO Scholarship is awarded to a Lindbergh senior, who has gone to Sperreng Middle School during his school career, and demonstrates a commitment to better the world around them.
The Breakfast Club Scholarship - In honor of Amy Kaiser
This scholarship is in honor of a retiring member of the Breakfast Club. This is a women’s group that meets every Friday during the school year to support each other as educators.

Wayne Ashwell Memorial Scholarship
Wayne was a beloved Lindbergh community member, parent, alumnus, volunteer, and more. He was a valued director and lifetime member of the Lindbergh High School Alumni Association, where he began and maintained programs for the LHSAA for more than 30 years. He was named Lindbergh Leader in 1998 and LHS Distinguished Alumni in 2008. His dedication to Lindbergh Schools was never ending. His family has established the LHSAA Wayne Ashwell Memorial Scholarship Fund so that they can give to LHS seniors in Wayne's memory.
Concord Elementary Parent Teacher Group Scholarship
This scholarship is funded by the Concord Elementary Parent Teacher Group and is awarded each year to a well-rounded student who demonstrates involvement with community service outside of school. This student must also participate in extracurricular activities or clubs while at Lindbergh High School.
The Ryan Brinkmann Memorial Scholarship
Ryan Brinkmann was a 2008 graduate of Lindbergh High School who had a big heart, free-spirit, loved art, and was a wonderful friend to many. This scholarship was started by his aunt, who knew that Ryan would have loved to see another student receive this money to help them begin their dreams.
Lauren Cooper Memorial Scholarship
Lauren E. Cooper was a 4-year member of the Student Council, and a 2-year member of the Flyerettes. After graduating from LHS in 2005, Lauren attended George Washington University where she earned a degree in English with honors in 2009. She attended Loyola School of Law in Chicago, where she worked towards becoming a lawyer.
Arthur and Marie DeGrand Scholarship
The children of Arthur and Marie DeGrand fund this yearly scholarship in memory of their parents. The scholarship is awarded to a Lindbergh student who is interested in global issues while in high school with the intent to study related issues in college.

Curtis Family Scholarship
This scholarship was started by Geoff Curtis, 1003 Alumnus, and his family. They want to be able to help LHS students realize their dreams of going to college. The student awarded must show financial need, must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, and should be planning to attend a traditional, four-year, liberal arts college in the Midwest.
Hotaling Scholarship
The Hotaling family began this scholarship, seeing a Lindbergh senior that maintains high academic performance while participating in multiple school and community organizations. Their ideal candidate for this scholarship should hold high praise among his peers in a leadership fashion within their participating activities.

LHS Parent Teacher Group Scholarship
One avenue of support the LHS Parent Group offers graduating seniors is through the Student Scholarships Program. Students who are interested in this program must meet certain levels of academic achievement/growth and demonstrate, through a chosen essay, his/her strengths in leadership, community involvement and work/personal ethics.
PJ Barbeau Scholars Award
The P.J. Barbeau Scholars Award recognizes outstanding literary analysis and composition, a hallmark of the learning experience in Ms. Barbeau’s classroom. Although a single concept or theme can dominate a literary work, the layering of multiple ideas and influences has the potential for significant impact when the work is read closely. This scholarship, created by former students of P.J. Barbeau, reflects the desire for students to develop the awareness to closely read, analyze, and describe complex literature. As a component of that process, Ms. Barbeau created a classroom that was capacious enough to discuss different views while also fostering respect. She taught her students that they could disagree, sometimes vehemently, without being disagreeable. The winner’s essay should similarly reflect those values.
Frau Conti Scholars Award
The Frau Conti Scholars Award was created and funded by three of Frau Conti’s former students. The award recognizes the influence of Laura Conti in teaching Lindbergh students to think critically, express concepts clearly, and analyze issues from a wide range of perspectives. Frau’s classroom environment affords students the opportunity to grow from who they are, into what they may become. This scholarship reflects not only the effects of those lessons on previous students, but also their ongoing influence in so many lives. The winner’s entry should similarly reflect the aspirational tone of Frau’s classroom.
Quintyn Lewis LLQ Scholarship
Q made a positive impression through his interactions with others. This scholarship will go to a LIndbergh High School senior who exemplifies the character traits that "Q" lived by.

Craig Heuer Memorial Scholarship
Friends of Craig Heuer have come together to honor their friend and classmate through a scholarship in his name. The recipient must value community service, have been a part of any LHS Band and been truly touched and affected by being a part of the band.
Robert Spiegelman Memorial Scholarship
Robert Spiegelman celebrated and enjoyed 18 years as the Director of Bands at Lindbergh High School. These scholarships are awarded in his memory to a student who exemplifies all of the great qualities that Bob instilled in his band students and who has “walked with purpose” throughout their time in the Lindbergh Band Program.

These scholarships have been awarded by the Crestwood/Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club since 1963. They are a global organization of members who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis gives two scholarships each year. One to a Key Club member, and one to another LHS student.

A 1975 graduate of Lindbergh High School, Dr. Engelhardt was a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. This scholarship is funded by the Engelhardt family and is awarded to a student in his memory who has an interest in pursuing a career in the fields of health or education. The recipient of this scholarship must also demonstrate proven leadership skills.

Lindbergh Lights the Way Scholarship
The Lindbergh Lights the Way annual scholarship program awards funds to graduating Lindbergh students who have demonstrated their commitment to serve others, are continuing their education and training in a philanthropic field of study or work, and are in need of financial assistance.
Sappington Elementary Character Scholarship
The Sappington Elementary Character Scholarship is funded by the Sappington Elementary parent group and is awarded to a student who has demonstrated a community service achievement that positively affected the community. This student must also be recommended by a Lindbergh faculty member for their achievement.

Eagle Scout
Donald and Shirley Lang, Sr. Scholarship
This scholarship was created by the family of Donald Lang, Sr. to celebrate the gifts of an extraordinary man: a brother, a son, a husband, a father, grandfather, and a great-grandfather. An educated man, a graduate of the University of Missouri. An honorable man who was active in Boy Scouts for 67 years. The recipient of the ultimate Eagle Scout Award and the highest rank, quartermaster in Sea Explorers. That service is worthy of our acknowledgment and awe for its impact on mentorship and guidance to young men that can only be estimated in terms of God’s currency and abundance.

Curtis Kenner Scholarship
Curtis Kenner taught journalism at LHS, Hancock High School, and West County Technical High School for more than 30 years. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Sponsors of School Publications of Greater St. Louis in 1992 and also served as the president of the organization for a period of time. Mr. Kenner retired from LHS in 1992. His love for journalism and education is recognized by this $5000 scholarship provided by The Hawkins Foundation. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a passion for learning and demonstrates a desire to continue his/her education at the collegiate level but has a financial need to do so. This student will have goals for the future and a plan for making those goals a reality.

Austin Driver Memorial Scholarship
Austin Driver was a 2021 Lindbergh High School graduate studying Business at the University of Mississippi - Ole Miss. Austin had his share of educational hardships, including being diagnosed with Dyslexia at age 8. Early in high school Austin sought to work through his learning disability, dedicating himself to his studies and becoming an A student as a result. He viewed his learning disability as a challenge; one that could be overcome with patience, endurance, and hard work. Among many other things, we want him to be remembered for a continuous drive and dedication in and out of the classroom.

This scholarship is funded through fundraising programs of the Lindbergh Schools Foundation and by Lindbergh employee contributions. This scholarship is intended for students of color who have traditionally been underrepresented.
Reeve Lindbergh Scholarship Eligibility
This scholarship was established with proceeds from a luncheon at Lindbergh High School in Reeve Lindbergh’s honor in 2000. The recipient of this scholarship must display an interest in the environment and possess proven leadership skills with plans to pursue a career in the fields of education, writing, ecology or natural science.
Joshua Colter Wagner Memorial Scholarship
Josh Wagner, Lindbergh High School Class of 1995, was known as Mr. ‘Swag’ner to many Lindbergh students. He was a beloved member of the district and had a special way of helping all students understand the joy of learning. This scholarship is awarded in his memory to a student interested in pursuing a major in Education.

James was active in B.L.A.S.T., a student organized club which promoted school spirit. To honor James’ memory, his family funds this scholarship to be awarded to a student who best demonstrates leadership and spirit.

Multilingual Scholarship
Lindbergh ELL teachers created the Multilingual Scholarship to support current ELL students with their educational goals. One scholarship of $1,000 will be given to an ELL student each year through funds raised by ELL teachers at various multicultural events throughout the school year.

Lisa Amen Memorial Scholarship
Lisa Annette Amen was a 1980 graduate of Lindbergh High School who excelled in singing and drama during her time at Lindbergh. She was an aspiring actor and college student when she was killed by a drunk driver in 1982. Lisa's family began this scholarship to honor students who excel in musical theatre and will be given to a LHS senior each spring.

This scholarship is funded through the sale of Spirit Bricks and by other initiatives of the Lindbergh Schools Foundation and by Lindbergh employee contributions. The recipient of this scholarship must demonstrate the ability to overcome adversity to achieve their goals while attending school prior to college.

The Rotary Foundation is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, helps build goodwill and peace in the world and has a rich history of funding scholarships for undergraduate and graduate study in a wide range of academic fields.

Crestwood/Sunset Hills Kiwanis Key Club Scholarship
These scholarships have been awarded by the Crestwood/Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club since 1963. They are a global organization of members who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis gives two scholarships each year. Two scholarships are offered every year and at least one of the scholarships is awarded to a member of the Key Club.

Lindbergh High School Alumni Association Kris Blakemore Lindbergh Spirit Scholarship
This scholarship was created by the family of Kris Blakemore in appreciation of her being the best Mother, Grandmother, and friend that a family could ever desire and in recognition of her lifelong support of Lindbergh Schools.
James Stulce Memorial Scholarship

Gary Amstutz/Mike Miller Memorial Scholarship
The Gary L. Amstutz/ Mike Miller Scholarship was established following the death of Gary Amstutz and Mike Miller to honor their leadership, dedication and volunteer work in developing the Lindbergh Flag Football and Junior Flyer programs. This scholarship helps a senior who has participated in Flag Football and the Junior Flyer program.
Coach Stan Mach Scholarship
This scholarship was established to celebrate the memory of Coach Mach, a beloved teacher and coach for more than 30 years. His teams won many honors and more than 100 of his players continued to college on athletic scholarships.
Stephan Mitchler Memorial Scholarship
The “Mitch” scholarship is presented to honor the memory of Stephen H. Mitchler, a 1969 alumnus of Lindbergh High School. Mitch spent 26 years in military service and is remembered for his tenacity, loyalty, determination and dedication by his Army Special Forces “band of brothers”. This scholarship is awarded annually to a student who best exhibits these traits while at Lindbergh.

Nancy Benson/Stu-Co Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Nancy Benson, a Lindbergh High School science teacher and STUCO sponsor for over 20 years. The scholarship is awarded to a student who is a senior member of Student Council and exhibits leadership and a strong commitment to community service both on the Lindbergh campus and in our community.

Ralph E. Barkey Memorial Scholarship
Ralph E. Barkey was an animal lover and animals loved him. He gave generously to the Humane Society of Missouri. In honor of Ralph, his family established this scholarship to help students seeking a career working with animals.

The Lindbergh High School Alumni Association is a group of LHS graduates ranging from the 1950s to the 2000s. Every year, this group raises money through fundraisers, reunions, and personal donations, to fund multiple scholarships for LHS seniors.
