Celebrating Long Elementary Kindergarten Teachers: New Tricycles for Skill-Building Fun

September 13, 2024

Today, we’re thrilled to recognize Stephanie Meesey, Dawn McCoy, Shannon Roberts, and Maria Mascalco, a dedicated team of Kindergarten teachers at Long Elementary, who recently brought a fantastic new resource to their students. Understanding the close connection between physical development and academic success, these teachers requested 12 tricycles to help their young learners develop essential gross motor skills. By riding these tricycles, students are not only building sensory and visual motor skills but are also strengthening their hand-eye coordination in a fun, engaging way.

On Friday, August 30, Foundation staff and board members had the joy of assembling and delivering the tricycles to Long Elementary. We were thrilled to see the kindergarten students’ excitement as they took their first rides! To make the experience even more memorable, the Foundation added custom license plates to each tricycle, giving each student a unique way to enjoy and personalize their new ride.

Congratulations to Stephanie Meesey, Dawn McCoy, Shannon Roberts, and Maria Mascalco for their commitment to enhancing their students’ learning experience in creative, impactful ways!
