Lindbergh Celebrates Homecoming Weekend with Alumni Honors

On Thursday, October 3, the 2024 Alumni Awards Banquet at Royale Orleans officially kicked off a memorable Homecoming weekend for the Lindbergh community. This special evening brought together alumni, educators, students, and supporters to honor an exceptional group of individuals who have made a lasting impact on Lindbergh and beyond.
This year’s Distinguished Educators were Sara Fabick, a dedicated elementary educator; Norman Jump, a cherished LHS teacher; and Barbara Scott, an inspiring LHS educator. Their contributions to shaping young minds and creating a lasting impact in the classroom were celebrated with heartfelt appreciation.
The Distinguished Alumni honorees included Doug Beck, Class of 1983; Kristin (Berg) Grant, Class of 1989; Jonathon Burch, PharmD, Class of 1994; Lloyd Evitts, Class of 1970; and Brian Joyal, Class of 1983. Each of these individuals has achieved extraordinary accomplishments in their respective fields, embodying the spirit of leadership, excellence, and service that defines the Lindbergh community.
The Athletic Hall of Fame welcomed an impressive group of inductees, including Sue (Balota) Abkemeier, Class of 1981; Sarah Dooley, Class of 2005; Kyle Schnoring, Class of 2009; and the 1994 Soccer Team. These honorees were recognized for their outstanding athletic achievements, teamwork, and dedication to excellence in sports, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire Flyers both on and off the field.
The evening was a celebration of Lindbergh’s proud history and a testament to the lasting connections and achievements of its alumni and educators. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who joined us for this special occasion. Your presence helped make the event truly unforgettable while raising essential funds to support scholarships for current LHS seniors.
