Sponsor Spotlight: Goodcents, 2024-2025 Year-Long Pilot Sponsor
February 11, 2025
Maggie Rothe, Owner-Operator of Goodcents, is a shining example of community support and resilience. As a 2024-2025 Year-Long Pilot Sponsor for the Lindbergh Schools Foundation, Maggie’s dedication to making a positive impact in her community is deeply inspiring. A graduate of Mehlville High School, Maggie’s path to success has been defined by determination, hard work, and a deep commitment to giving back.
Her journey into the restaurant industry began with a dream of culinary school, which she pivoted to opening her own restaurant. Inspired by her family’s love for Goodcents and driven by a desire to create something meaningful, Maggie turned her vision into reality. Her first Goodcents location in Valley Park became a hands-on learning experience where she honed her skills in business operations, marketing, and community engagement. Along the way, she built a strong team, including her trusted assistant Marissa Yount, whose dedication has been instrumental in Goodcents' success.
As a 2024-2025 Year-Long Pilot Sponsor, Maggie shares what inspired her partnership with the Lindbergh Schools Foundation. During the COVID pandemic, she offered free meals to children, driven by her belief that "if you can, you should." This philosophy of community care naturally aligned with the Foundation’s mission, making it an easy decision to commit to this sponsorship level.
Maggie views her support as an investment in the entire Lindbergh district, benefiting all students and families. “It is worth it,” she says, confident that the funds are making a meaningful impact. “The money goes back into the neighborhood,” she adds, underscoring her dedication to being "your neighborhood sandwich shop."
To Lindbergh students, Maggie offers words of encouragement: “Don’t ever give up. Keep pushing through—it’s only going to hurt for a minute.”
The Lindbergh Schools Foundation is proud to partner with Maggie Rothe and Goodcents as a 2024-2025 Year-Long Pilot Sponsor. Their shared values of community, generosity, and support are making a lasting difference in the lives of Lindbergh students and families.
