Sponsor Spotlight: Mercy, 2024-2025 Year-Long Aviator Sponsor
March 22, 2025
Lindbergh Schools Foundation is proud to shine the spotlight on Mercy South, a valued community partner and 2024-2025 Year-Long Aviator Sponsor. Mercy South, under the leadership of President Sean Hogan, has a long-standing reputation for compassionate care in the St. Louis area. Their commitment to health and education aligns seamlessly with the mission of Lindbergh Schools.
Mercy’s dedication to community care goes beyond hospital walls, reflecting a deep-rooted commitment to meeting people where they are. "Our mission doesn’t just align with what Lindbergh Schools does for our community—it mirrors it in a lot of ways," says Hogan. "The Sisters of Mercy set out to meet people’s needs within their community, whether through health care or education. Both Lindbergh Schools and Mercy play vital roles in supporting the health and welfare of our community, and a quality education is the foundation for all of that."
As a yearly sponsor, Mercy recognizes the significant impact that Lindbergh Schools has on local families. "Mercy is driven to care for the communities we serve, and that extends beyond the walls of our hospitals, clinics, and other services," Hogan explains. "Given how many families Lindbergh Schools impacts and the importance of education, supporting Lindbergh Schools Foundation is a natural fit for serving our community."
Mercy South understands that education is a cornerstone of a thriving community. "The more needs we can help meet within the community, the more we can improve the overall well-being of everyone," Hogan says. "Education is vital to that well-being. While Mercy isn’t in a position to provide that education at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, we are in a position to support our community partners who are providing that education."
Mercy South’s support is rooted in a desire to help students and families succeed. "It’s an honor for us to be able to support Lindbergh families," says Hogan. "It’s rewarding to be able to help students succeed, and we invite others across our community to join us in supporting Lindbergh Schools."
Through its partnership with Lindbergh Schools Foundation, Mercy South hopes to contribute to student success, both academically and beyond. "We want to help students position themselves for success through each phase of their education and into starting their careers, including possible careers in health care," Hogan notes. "It’s important we nurture the next generation of health care providers who may then help take care of all of us in our community. Regardless of whether they choose to get into health care, we all benefit from our children growing up and succeeding in their chosen fields."
Education is central to Mercy’s philosophy of community care. "Supporting education is how we pay it forward to our community, and it’s the foundation to a thriving community," Hogan emphasizes. "We do that within the hospital with the opportunities we provide to nursing students, but those students need support long before they reach our doors. Providing that support in our own backyard is just part of being a good neighbor."
Hogan shares an inspiring message with Lindbergh students: "Find your passion, and then put in the work that allows you to make that passion work for you and benefit others." The Lindbergh Schools Foundation is grateful for the generous support of Mercy South. Their commitment to education and community well-being strengthens the foundation’s ability to provide opportunities for students and ensure a bright future for all.
