Lindbergh Schools Foundation Hosts Third Community Breakfast

CB 2022

Date: October 14, 2022

The Lindbergh Schools Foundation held its third Community Breakfast on Friday, Oct. 14. More than 265 community members, volunteers, local businesses, and Lindbergh Schools staff and students were in attendance to help raise $65,575 for programs including the Lindbergh High School Alumni Association, Lindbergh Lights the Way, Lindbergh Retired Educators, teacher grants and student scholarships.

“This was our biggest fundraising event to date, and we could not have done it without our amazing sponsors, donors, and attendees!” said Lindbergh Schools Foundation Director Erica Keating. “On behalf of the entire Foundation board of directors, thank you to everyone who supported our students, staff and community by coming together to support our programs and services.”

The breakfast included presentations from teachers, alumni, student musicians and Superintendent Dr. Tony Lake. St. Louis Cardinals In-Game Emcee, Todd Thomas, also known as “That One Guy,” was the emcee for the breakfast.

This year’s theme was “Building a Brighter Horizon.” As part of this program, the Foundation spoke with students that have worked outside the classroom to gain real-world experience. Teachers and club sponsors spoke about how they’ve used donations from the Foundation to provide a better learning experience for their students.

Goodcents, owned by Maggie Rothe, was awarded the Above and Beyond honor. The award  is given annually by the Lindbergh Schools Foundation to a business or individual for their commitment, generosity, and exemplary support of our mission: to help advocate excellence in all facets of education at Lindbergh Schools.
